Parents and carers will be aware that the government set out an aim for more children to attend school from Monday 1 June, if the conditions were right to do so.
At St. Vincent's, we have worked hard to explore ways in which the government guidance might be applied so that more children can attend school. Plans and assessments have been thorough and detailed to ensure pupils and staff (and the families they return home to) are kept as safe as possible.
The school's Risk Assessment is reviewed and updated weekly to meet changes to government guidance and to meet the changing needs of the school.
We have remained open for Key Worker and Vulnerable children throughout lockdown, however, the need for these places is increasing every week. On 8th June we welcomed back Year 6 and on Monday 22nd June, Year 1. Whilst the government asked schools to invite Reception pupils back to school, unfortunately, St. Vincent's has neither the space nor the staff to accommodate this under the current safety legislation. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
Please do not send your child to school unless you have permission to do so.
